Hey, I’m Jude Cale.

French entrepreneur, father of three, autistic (Asperger’s). I ride a Harley Fat Bob, build split mechanical keyboards for fun, and enjoy coding natural user interfaces. I’m currently in France, dreaming to live in the USA.

I’m building nuicat — a speech-to-text dictation daemon for Linux, written in Rust. Think “Mac simplicity on Linux”.

After 20 years and 30+ projects across industries, I taught myself to code in late 2025 after taking the legendary Harward CS50x course. Started shipping code in January 2026.

This blog is my journal where I write about shipping as a solo dev, Rust, Linux tooling, product design, and whatever else is on my mind.
